Our sprawling gardens are a work of passion, creating an oasis of natural beauty just minutes from the charming towns of Beechworth, Bright, and Rutherglen.
Nestled in the heart of the High Country yet conveniently close to local attractions, restaurants, and experiences, our property gives you the best of both worlds - tranquil gardens for relaxation and easy access to the region's renowned wine country, cycling trails, and cultural festivals. It's the ideal setting for groups seeking a peaceful escape without sacrificing access to everything the region has to offer.
Celebrated Wine and Artisan Brewery Region
North East Victoria, particularly Beechworth, Milawa and Rutherglen are home to some outstanding wine producers, many acclaimed internationally. Chardonay, Shiraz and Pinot Noir are the favourites but there are other varietals including Nebiolo and fortified wines unique to this region also. Biodynamic wines also feature strongly (Pennyweight and Castagna).
Most of our vignerons operate boutique wineries with limited cellar door access although some welcome visitors and offer good dining also (Brown Brothers, All Saints, Indigo Vineyard and Glenbosch). The Cellar Wine Store in Beechworth features most of our local wines and many from further afield. Eldorado Road offers tastings in Beechworth and there is a Wine Centre in Rutherglen. King Valley - 1 hour drive from Beechworth - offers other special wine experiences including Christmont (dining) and Pizzini.
Beechworth has two artisan breweries: Bridge Road Brewers (also offers great pizzas) and Last St Brewery. The Bright Brewery is another fantastic destination.

The Stanley Store
The shelves and fridges are loaded with the pubs own fresh cooked meals to take home and heat and eat. Local wines, spirits and beers also fill the shelves. Enjoy a coffee and something sweet from their cafe, all our edible delights are baked fresh in the Stanley Pub Kitchen.
